FireFly internet capability??
Anyone know if it's possible to connect firefly controls to the internet so you could control with your phone from anywhere like you can with the Bluetooth setup when near by.

You need the Mira module and the appropriate app on your phone or tablet. You need to contact Firefly Integrations directly to get the right Mira module as each coach manufacturer used a slightly different CAN bus architecture.

It is possible..... I contacted them about it. The hardware upgrade is about $800.... or it was about 2 years ago.
They will also send a tool needed for a firmware update as part of the upgrade but it has to be returned.

Thanks for the info. At that cost they can keep it because I, repeat I can not see any value add over Bluetooth for me especially since we have started staying at campgrounds that do not provide WiFi service.
We don’t need another thread in T mobile Starlink or any other cell or satellite WiFi services.

They have a WiFi option, the following is from a recent email I received from the folks at Firefly. Bluetooth & Wi-Fi, Eclipse - $850 (Local Access around the coach and Remote Access with an internet source away from the coach)
*In the future, there will be a fee for remote access with the Eclipse system. You will get a 90-day free trial, then it is $8.99/month or $89/annually.
Unfortunately, the programming for your coach/coach floor plan has not been completed yet so there will be 12 – 16 week lead time after 50% deposit is received. Balance will be due at time of shipment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. *
I really like the idea of being able to remotely check and adjust the AC, heat, etc. just not sure it's worth $850 + $89 annually for cloud service to me.

Round about way to get internet access to firefly
Cheap work around I found works pretty well. I use an old cellphone plugged into a charger, connect phone via bluetooth to firefly, connect phone via wireless to internet, be it campground, Winegard, etc internet. Install remote access app to phone, leave with motorhome. I can connect with my cell phone or computer from home or wherever using remote access app on phone or computer. I use team viewer, there are other apps that work too.

I do the exact same thing.
Bought a cheap Android phone and installed the Firefly and a remote access app. Leave it in the coach and then connect to the Android phone with my iPhone to access the Firefly controls.

Read the privacy policy for the remote app. One popular one shares the users content and data from all systems (main and remote) with social media apps worldwide.
But then, if you don’t care that’s your prerogative and decision to make.
