Did CHF today
Cool morning so decided to do front and rear CHF.
Problems noted:
Front
1. Getting my 6-2 250lb self under coach, couldn't use a creeper.
2. Crawled under with SAE, had to crawl back out to get metric!
3. Needed 18 mm socket and wrench, had the socket not the wrench.
4. Went fairly smooth, had to use jack to reposition sway bar.
Rear
1. Bottom bracket on link with riveted bolt was frozen in bushing and would NOT move!!! 1/2 can of WD 40, BFH, and 30 min later finally got bolt free!!
2. Top bracket on link also frozen and could not move to reposition, took about 5 min with more WD 40 to get it loose.
3. Move to other side and repeat with top and bottom brackets frozen, not as bad but still took a while.
After 2 1/2 hours, skinned knuckles, and LOTS of naughty words, front and rear are done!!! Now have to wait for the wind to blow away the blue fog under my coach! Neighbors probably thought a mad man had escaped!
We're taking a trip this next weekend, anxious to see how much difference the change makes.

Ok, arrived in San Antonio yesterday, 260 miles on I-35 with of course some construction. I have two words about the CHF, wow, and WOW!!!
I feel like I'm driving a different coach! The ride is better, the drive is better, less sway in curves, very little effect when passing or being passed by semis. My wife even commented on the difference, a VERY rare thing! It was worth every curse word!!!
Thank you to everyone who has posted about their experiences, helped me decide to do my coach! I would say to anyone who has not done the CHF, do it, it does make a tremendous difference!!!

I have a new 2017 (possibly a 2016 F53 Ford chassis) Thor 29.3. Read a lot about the CHF. So dragged myself under the coach and was surprised how easy the rear set up was to change. However, the front sway attachment arms are to short to move to the other position. It brings the sway arm up and hits the chassis. If someone had an idea on any longer arms and where to get them I would try and move the front arms to the closer holes. With just the rear having the mod, it still worked pretty well but not what I expected. I still get quite a bit of movement from semi's. I'm also going to try installing vortex generators on the rear and in front of the wheel wells. I will update when I get it all set up. It's getting pretty cold where I live and I want to paint them to match the color on the coach. So it may take a couple of weeks.

You can get adjustable sway bar links from almost any auto supply site.
I went a slightly different route and had plates fabricated that fill the distance between sway bar holes and the arms. multiple holes in these plates allow for different stiffness of the sway-bar adjustment

That looks great, however the arm in the picture is way longer than mine. The arm on mine is above the leaf spring. Not sure if I could attach that plate. I'll ask my local auto store to see if they might have something that will work. Thanks for the pic and recommendation!
