Unhappy Rough riding

I pull my 5er with a Ram 2020 Laramie 3500. The ride is extremely choppy when on concrete highways. 26000 miles on shocks. Can anyone recommend a shock upgrade that works? I added timbrons to the rear shocks. No difference to the ride. Would air lifts be better? Also more expensive. Thanks in advance.

I think you know the answer, avoid concrete highways. I sure do as they shake, rattle and generally try to tear my motor home apart.

When i had my Dodge 3500, I had Monroes on it, Lifetime guarantee. Your OEM shocks are probably shot.

I would think That since the shocks job is to stop the truck from bouncing after hitting a bump. When the truck hits a bump the wheel want's to go up and that bends the spring the shock will slow it down from going up and when the spring goes down after the bump the shock slows it down again, otherwise it would be like an old 1960 chevy with worn out shocks that keeps bouncing up and down all the way down the road and at the stop light. Now you go out and put heavy duty shocks on the truck and when the wheel wants to go up after hitting a bump it can't move as fast as the old shock and it will be a jolt. It's just my opinion that anything like a heavier spring or shock will be worse for ride that's why in the old days they put light springs and shocks on a car, the wheel would go up easily when hitting a bump and the car body never moved, Cadillac ride
