RV Lock Replacement

I like to replace my lock with a keyless entry door handle. Did some research online and the best quality seems to be RVlock.com. Unfortunately their product (CLASS C/A RIGHT HAND RVLOCK KEYLESS ENTRY DOOR HANDLE) seems not to fit my door ( Freedom Traveller ). Did anybody replace the handle and if so what did you use ?

Thank you

P.S. trying to add a picture but no idea how to do it

Spent a year looking for one. Zippo! Loved my rvlock on our vegas, no go on our hurricane! Rvlock would not tell me why they don't make. Thinking maybe patent?

No matter where I look online - nobody seems to have a lock which fits a THOR motorhome.

That's the end of the road for almost all threads regarding this upgrade unless some door/latching mechanism was modified.

If your lock is 3.5" wide and 4.25" tall this would fit as the keypad does not fit within the lock opening and sits on the face of the door. If your lock is a different size you may want to call RVLock and see what they say. Will keep looking.

the lock is 5 by 7.5 and that seems to be the problem.

I emailed RVLock and they were not very helpful - the response was

"Unfortunately, we don't have a list of rigs. Please see our fit guide"

No matter where I look online - nobody seems to have a lock which fits a THOR motorhome.
For over a year, I've also looked at replacing mine with a wireless door lock but never found anything that would fit.

RV lock

RV LOCK now has a model that fits class a motorhomes.
I installed one on my Windsport 35C, so it should fit a 35M also.

Do you have a part number for it?

Bob

I don't think they use part numbers. It is a model number.
Go to rvlock.com and compare pictures of the handles they replace. If a picture matches yours, it fits.
The same model that was used on the palazzo is what fit our Windsport.

Curious if this will fit on a new Vegas? Still waiting on my coach to arrive.

Looking at the pics on the website, that lock will not fit the one the OP circled in the picture he posted.

I have the same lock as he does on my Magnitude. It is a TriMarck Lock and it uses a different latching mechanism than other door locks.

The locks RVLock sell use a locking mechanism that extends into a recessed hole in the door jam.

The TriMark locks a lot of us have in our coaches has a post sticking out of the door jam that the latching mechanism grips. The deadbolt portion does extend into the door jam but the latching mechanism does not.

According to theor FB page, they are supposed to introduce a replacement option for the TriMark locks at the end of the summer. But I seem to recall hearing the same thing last year too and it never happened. Maybe they are getting closer.
