RV Oven Removal
Hello:
We have a 2013 Thor ACE 30.1 motorhome. We’d like to remove the oven and covert the space for storage. Has anyone had success doing this. Would like to hear from anyone who has done that (with photos).
Thank you

Isn't the oven part of the stove? I don't think you can remove one without the other.

Absolutely true. We would then just replace the stove top, alone.

Why not use the oven for pizza or biscuits? Maybe some cookies. Or use the oven for storage.

We just store stuff in the oven. We used the oven in the fifth wheel 3 or 4 times. It’s only good for creating charcoal. Could never get the heat regulated. I’ve figured out how to bake and roast in our Weber Q. We do use the cooktop.

I would love to also do that. Would like to make the oven open space and put an airfryer (toaster oven style) in its place. Would have plenty of ventilation that way.
Then install a induction (single burner) stove. My only problem is what to do with the leftover counter space without replacing the entire counter.

Always used the oven even in the Landmark even with a full size convection microwave
Wish the Tuscany had an electric oven instead of the dishwasher
Some owner modifications increase value and some don't
Do what works for you but do it right

Nice to hear ideas from other RV travelers. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We just find the oven to be useless. There are RV stove tops that can purchased without the oven. I particularly like the one with two propane burners on one half and on the other an induction burner. The one problem I foresee with this modification, other that the time it would take, is finding an attractive solution for the storage area where the oven used to be, as matching the cabinet wood and color might be an issue. One would have to find something that adds to the decor, not distracts.

Let us know - with pictures - what you end up with. I like to see personalization mods. I’m sorry you don’t find the oven to be useful. We use ours regularly. I can burn stuff with it and DW makes the worlds best biscuits and gravy!
