Lithium Batteries: BigBattery July 4th Sale
File this in the FWIW bucket but.......
BigBattery has a sale until July 6th for their LiFePO4 batteries. If you use code USA15 you can get 15% off.... which is a good deal these days. They also cut you a break on shipping when ordering multiple batteries. The sweetest part of the deal is no sales tax..... but Shhhhhhhhh..... keep that under wraps so big brother doesn't find out and ruin it for everyone.
I have been running the BigBattery 170Ah model for almost a year now and I am very pleased with them. I currently have four installed for 680Ah total.
I think they are the best value when it comes to $ per Ah for a high-quality battery. There are some other great benefits with BigBattery too such as each battery has its own On / Off Switch, an LED Voltage Display and they include a battery cable with each battery.
This year I upgraded my Inverter to a Xantrex Freedom XC Pro 3000 Inverter / Charger and rewired the coach so I could run any circuit off the Inverter but my main intent was to be able to run the bedroom A/C at night when boon docking.
This weekend I am boondocking at the in-laws and I have been very pleased with the BigBattery LiFePO4's and new Inverter.
I didn’t run the A/C the first night but we did run an electric fan overnight…. the 12V kitchen ceiling fan running... two fridges running... the Starlink router powered up..... and two phones charging. After two pots of coffee, running an electric griddle for breakfast and a laptop charging the SOC was 70%.
Yesterday the DW had a crockpot going all day on the Inverter.... I ran the genny for a few hours during dinner to cool off the coach and charge the batteries (solar helped also during the day). The batteries weren't at 100% (probably in the 95 - 98% range when I shut down the genny). We went to bed around 10:30 and I ran the bedroom A/C overnight on the Inverter set to 71 degrees. It cycled maybe a half dozen times overnight from what I remember. When I got up this morning I was at 68% SOC and that was with the fridges running and a couple phones and a laptop charging.
If you are planning on a Lithium Upgrade, I would recommend you checkout BigBattery.com for their battery options and take advantage of the sale.
