Screw fasteners into cargo bay walls?

Hi, what’s the best way to attach something to the inside of a cargo bay? My 2016 Citation has plastic walls on the cargo bays and I want to attach holders (for a paper towel roll and for the box of latex gloves). Both holders came with screws and wall anchors, but I’m wondering whether it would be better to use self-tapping screws and no anchors. Presumably drill a pilot hole first, too?

It appears that the plastic walls inside my cargo bays are firm but thinnish plastic with nothing solid behind them.

Thanks!

Rather than use screws and put holes in, why not try JB Weld. I promise you if applied properly it will never come off. Can be bought a WalMart, auto parts stores. Not expensive.

No anchors. Double face tape and short screws only.

I would not drill or screw into that roto plastic if that's what it is due to future of it cracking if a hole was drilled. Try 1st and only use A 3M brand automotive double face tape you could get at the auto parts stores. Make sure you wipe both sides with rubbing alcohol 1st extremely important. What I will usually do is put a few dabs of silicone or some type of glue on the piece and then use the 3M double face trim tape holds it then the glue will secure also when dried but the tape holds it in place really well as the glue is setting up leave them both on. I would have never ever thought to tape anything and till I worked at the assembly line for the Ford Taurus / Sable in the 80's we used the 3M brand double faced tape on virtually all the outside moldings and other parts without fail and that made me a believer that's all I'll ever buy. Good luck!

Wow... why didn’t I think of that? Oh yeah, as you said... you don’t think about using tapes or glues! Now that I think about it, I have a squirt bottle of liquid soap by in my wet bay that’s stuck to the cargo bay wall with adhesive Velcro and it’s solid as a rock.

Many thanks, I will put the power tools away and hit the auto supply store as suggested.
