Power for 2 recliners

We replaced the original couch with two recliners and would like to install a plug on the wall of the kitchen cabinet, rather than plugging the recliners into the overhead plug. Where in the kitchen can I tap into power for a wall plug for my recliners?

How long is a piece of string? Pic would help. Make and model # so we can look up a floor plan? Are we talking about the recliners being in a slide?

Without a year and model, it's anybody's guess.

There is a lot of stuff under the false floor below the sink. You may find what you are looking for if remove that panel.

Any tips for routing the wires; when the recliners are in a slide?

We have a 2020 29m. If you remove the 3 kitchen cabinet drawers there is a junction box screwed to the floor of the slide. I have not tapped into it, just saying it is a possibility. Ours already had a lot of wires in it so you might want to see what it already feeds before adding another outlet.

Power for 2 recliners

Thank you for your responses for my 2017 29M. I want to provide a plug for my two recliners in the slide and the best choice looks like tapping into the junction box under the oven drawer.

That junction box is pretty crowded. I think I would mount another small junction box beside the one in your picture. Then I'd splice the feed that you choose to use in the new junction box with the cord for your recliners.

Also, if you want to recline 24/7 without shore power or genny...
> you’ll need to tie into the Inverter line

The 29Ms have an inverter, so be sure you tap into the TV or Frig Romex if you can. Most RV recliners use 12 volt motors to avoid this problem.

Not sure about your recliners, we bought ours from Asley Furniture. the motors on ours have a small transformer that transforms 110 volts to 12v DC. I cut them off and ran power to the house battery. They can now be used when dry camping. Ours dont have heater or message just power recline.

I think I might try installing a floor plug on the slide behind the recliners. Then route from underneath the slide to the necessary power location.

We have factory recliners and they are powered from a junction box on the floor beside the left recliner. I believe this box also feed the 2 outlets above the recliners and the plug under the dinette.

Thanks to everyone for the information. I tapped into the junction box under the oven and have outlets at the Recpro recliners. Now to relax until the next idea.
