Slim Shade on Door

Anybody installed this mod or seen this product being used.
Seems like a reasonable value to modify the door glass so that you can look out & see who’s there while still having the option to close the shade.

Available at CW & Amazon

Does this fit in the existing opening in the door or does it require cutting?

The current marbled glass in the door blocks the street view diagonally when backing out of my driveway into the street.

Ours fit almost perfectly, but the original didn't fit perfectly either.

This installer missed his line in one small place, I fixed it the way he did, with a little extra caulk

I passed on buying that.
Screen is in the way to operate it... And I'm just kinda like that. I don't want to open the door, go outside, close or open the blind, go back inside.
Ours will go on the inside of the screen.

Accolade came from the factory with the shade installed. Have to open the door to operate it because of the screen door. Mine has been down since the first night of the shakedown.

Good point abt screen being in way
In one review I read...the operator installed it upside down and leaves it half way up.
That way no one can see inside because it’s so high on the door, yet he can see outside.

But I’m with you regarding the hassle to raise/lower blind, and also the sleek look of the glass on the Vegas/Axis door goes away.

For my coach, a Hurricane 29M, it would be a worthless upgrade. The inner window is pebbled glass and the outer is dark tinted. That and it being 7 feet in the air almost no one could look in.

Installed the same unit on our 24F. Added more view window and I keep the shade open when driving as it aids by viewing the blind spot, especially in gas stations and areas with off angle traffic. Easy install and we love it.

Did not fit.

Tried this window on my Gemini 24tx. To my surprise it was larger then my current window and would have involved cutting out the window opening to fit the new window. I was afraid it would compromise the integrity of the door so I returned it.
