The happiest purchase I've made in years is YouTube premium(not YouTube tv. We have no want for network or sports or qvc).
$14ish dollars and no commercials interrupting a video. We watch whole movies uninterrupted, educational stuff, no outside interruption, download whole tv series or movies. No stick needed.

We only see commercials when very very occasionally ota when in the RV.

Great read my friends.
Had Vizio tv for decades then tv sound started failing and sound bars no string. Then Lora and I demonstrated Sansung tv with samsung sound bar.
My God. The TV picture and sound bar are unbelievable.
We testes inside outside in sun glare. Near road noise.
Samsung rules!

RV has original Axxera tvs.
We use samsung sound bars and fire sticks.
When Axxera dies Samsung baby!

For streaming. We tested many products.
Youtube TV so far is amazing.
AND UNLIMITED RECORDING IS A MUST.

Have had many Samsung products... most have been awesome. Unfortunately we tried a Samsung fridge about 10 years ago... I think "Sam sung the wrong tune" when he designed the main control pcb. Two high voltage traces were too close together and too thin... fried the board. Was a common problem with them back then.

Well now you have done it. You just doomed your Axxera TV's three lifetimes of life. They won't die on you!

Is this off topic, you can't be berating Samsung refrigerator products on my thread about Samsung Smart TVs Unless you have a Samsung RV Fridge with a Smart TV next to water & ice dispenser? Note: A Google TV does not qualify for exception

I have been traveling all day, and trying to catch up. I am confused now if my awesome Roku Ultra boxes even works anymore. All my Samsung TVs ( I have 7) are Smart TVs, but I always stream with the remote. The Smart TV option is good backup for Roku. A Google TV may be a trend, but I don't see what I get. I love Google and Android, but I don't chase newest technology rather I believe in "Fitness for Use"

One other thing, a lot of times when I go places I will pack my Roku Ultra device. No matter where I go, no matter what TV I find, even one on a fridge, I can watch everything just like I am home. I also have my T Mobile Home Internet so I always have high speed connection.

This thread is going to make me replace my Outside Insignia base model TV with a Samsung Smart TV sooner than later. I will still use my same Roku box and watch the same TV with same quality, but at least I can say I have a fancy Smart TV outside the RV.

I agree 100% You Tube TV is priceless. It is now up to $72/month but nothing even comes close. It is first App on my Rokus and my Smart TVs. We record everything and it knows what each of us in household watch. For $249 they have special on NFL ticket for the fall. I don't need because I can't watch all the games now as it is.

Would it be thread compliant if I claimed it was a "smart fridge"?

For Camping I need to see why do many have roku?
I just use youtube tv etc with the fire stick.
I guess smart tv not needed unless you want great picture quality. There may be cheaper non smart tvs with Samsung image quality..

When our last TiVo failed we purchased a Tablo. What I don't like about it is it is slow and clunky. The TiVo's we have owned for over 20 years were fast and responsive. We did not purchase another one because we did not want to sign up for another subscription as we could not pass our lifetime subscription on to a new unit. Not a big deal for us because since signing up for YouTubeTV we just use the Tablo for a backup in case the internet goes down. We love YouTubeTV and their DVR lets you fast forward thru commercials.

For years we had satellite television for the house and the motorhome but hated having to deal with the hardware and they kept raising the price. We stayed with it because many camping locations had poor streaming capability. Once that improved we decided to save some money and frustration and ditch the satellite stuff and all its clunky expensive hardware. Also hated that every time we got a heavy rain storm the satellite signal went away. That was the main reason for keeping an over the air recording capability like TiVo or Tablo. Now that we stream everything including live TV we hardly ever remember the Tablo is there. We especially like the fact that we do not have to call up the satellite service and change our location so we can receive ABC,CBS,NBC when we are out of our spot beam range. Before making the move we did a lot of research on the available streaming services and YouTubeTV gave us all the channels we like to watch at the best price. There are many cheaper services out there but when you add a channel that in not in their basic plan the price goes up.

Exactly, nothing like sermon with full experience from all sides. When you pass the tray I will pitch in, I will add another thing that is in our favor with the cost of YouTube TV. You are allowed to have 6 accounts with one subscription. Each account can access from anywhere, any device any time. We have 5 accounts, my wife, daughter, son, myself and one general family account that we share. The accounts are important because it knows what you like to watch, I can immediately tell if is on my wife's account because of her horrible choices of TV to watch Now we are limited to what I believe is 2 accounts at a time, but it hardly ever comes into play. Most cases it just a matter of one somebody switching to Live TV or Netflix.

Samsung sold me over years ago with there one support number. You can always get someone. They don't play games and will come to you for some warranty items.

I have 7 Samsung TVs (Smart TVs)
Samsung Fridge (Dumb Fridge)
Samsung Washer & Dryer (Wifi Smart Things)
Samsung Tablets
Samsung Phones

I want to replace my RV Outdoor Insignia TV for a Samsung Smart TV but I can't get enough people to give me support for need. I gain absolutely nothing, but I am itching to justify. In the meantime, how much longer can my cheapo Insignia last, I should have bought a TMC and I could have replaced the Axxera Outdoor TV years ago

Note: The 40" Main TV went out 6 months after I bought new RV, it was covered under warranty, but I declined and bought my own Samsung Smart TV. The MBR TV hardly ever gets used to worry about.

I am surprised I don't have a picture of my Sound Bar, but I will fix that later. My Samsung volume was worthless too. I don't think sound is a trait to expect from any TV these days as they are so thin. I bought a Visio Soundbar ( Visio M21D-H8R), because I wanted one that had the Sub Woofer built into the Bar to save space. Maybe I can get a picture later.

Another for the Vizio sound bar. I have the small 24 inch model V21T-J8 with 6 inch Bluetooth base speaker (woofer). It fits nicely under the 32" Axxera. The base speaker is under the reclining love seat sofa. The sound bar is connected to the TV with the supplied Toslink cable. On sale at Walmart for $119 last December.

Attached is picture of my MOD installed true 40" Samsung Smart TV. The Samsung Smart TV speaks for itself. Below the Samsung is my Visio Sound bar with built in Sub Woofer. https://www.walmart.com/ip/VIZIO-M-S...5?from=/search At $240; It is not cheap, but I am sure I bought when on sale. It is very heavy and does not slide with the bumps of the chassis. I would like to mount it but do not want to put holes on the shelf.

It is also nice because I can play music from my Android phone to both the Visio Sound System and my front cabin Alpines via Bluetooth at the same time. I also have an extra power cord for the Vizi on Sound bar, so I can easily unplug to take outside i.e. if we are having tailgate football party watching a game.

Note my Roku Saltwater Aquarium. That displays on all 3 TVs even when we do not watch. It is soothing...

Note #2 That little box to the far left on middle shelf is the Honorable T Mobile Black Box. My motto is "Never leave Home without it, because it is my T Mobile Home Internet"

Nice. If it does want to budge, try earthquake clay or large picture mounting hanging strips. We had good success at holding our Kuerig to our counter with the earthquake clay. Four small balls and press in place. Yes you can remove it without any big problems and no marks.
