Not difficult at all. I used a spray bottle with warm water and Dawn soap to makes the surface slippery and we had a set of four installed in under 30 minutes.

Did you place them then lowered each leveled to snap them on?

You either need two people, one to run the jacks in manual and one to place the pads, or use the Rapid Camp if you have it. Do one at a time using the left or right jack button, have your helper lower the jack part way, then center the pad under the jack and have helper go the rest of the way down till the pad snaps in place. The reason for doing one at a time is the pad needs to be well centered under the jack foot to snap in place. Takes about 10 min to do all four.

SuperD has it right. They are pretty simple to install and much easier with 2 people working it. Manually lowering the jacks one at a time is the way to go. We installed ours in less than 5 minutes.

I didn't have a helper so installed the Snap Pads myself. I used a small flat bar and pried around the edge until the Pads were about 3/4 snapped onto the leveler feet - not all the way on but tight enough not to fall off. Did all four that way and then ran the system in AUTO. The Pads quickly snapped on the rest of the way when weight was put on them. Total time, 10 minutes, maybe less.

Another plus for having Snap Pads: Many campgrounds that have concrete pads require a pad under your jacks to prevent damaging the concrete, with Snap Pads installed you will never have to worry! Or crawl under your coach when it's raining!

Thanks for all the info on snap pads...i was convinced they would bevabgood upgrade for our new Thor ACE..just went to their site...hmm $199 for 'pro' version...I thought closer to $100...

Your ACE uses the smaller Snap Pads listed at $149, the other pads are for larger coaches.

What’s the difference between xtra, prime and hiway versions?

And - I’m going to ASSume that using these will add 1.5” to the jacks but I’ll still have to roll the RV up on 2 by 12 to keep the tires from lifting off the “ground.”

Love mine. I haven't noticed any problems with the RV lifting off the ground.

Why does having your tires off the ground bother you?

Depending on which board / group you read, some say it's OK, others say it's not.

My driveway isn't level enough to level the RV without at least 1 wheel leaving the ground. I live on top of a hill where it's pretty windy. I'd rather have my 40' by 14" "sail" with all 4 wheels comfortably resting on something. If we get a good wind, I don't want the RV to bend the levelers. I know - small chance - but still a chance.

Like I said - some say yes. Others say no. Keeping the wheels on the ground is certainly the best solution...

The Thor MC advice is the rear wheels should always be on the ground with enough weight on them to keep the coach from sliding. The worry is the coach sliding on the jack pads. It is ok to let the front wheels dangle, although the first step may be high. We experienced the problem at the KY Horse Park RVP where if we backed into our spot the rear wheels would be of the ground. We drove in and with 2" of wood under the front jacks, we were able to level the coach. Fortunately we carry a fold-up 7" high platform (left over from our previous coach), so just an extra step to get in or out of the coach.
