Portable inverter

Will a inverter that plugs into cigarette lighter run a tv and PlayStation while driving. What size and brand?

You will probably need to keep the total watts from your devices under 150 watts or you will blow the fuse that runs the "cigarette lighter"
(funny, we are old calling it a cigarette lighter)

Also, the internal fuse in the plug which goes into the cigarette lighter will probably fry if more than 150 watts

The Axxera & Seiki TV's run at about 50 watts i believe.
Google says that a Playstation is 89 watts

So, it looks like you're OK

One more thing...you can have more watts if you're willing to "alligator clip" an inverter directly to the House batteries under the steps, or something along those lines.

Those little inverters can be pretty handy; just make sure that you get one that is putting out power in a pure sine wave configuration.
(It's better for the electronic gadgets)
