Spare tire and rim for Vegas 25.2
Has anyone purchased a tire and rim spare for this Ford E450 chassis. It looks like there is plenty of room to mount a spare tire under the rear of the coach in front of the trailer hitch. It sure would be nice to have a spare!
Where could I purchase the wheel that would be guaranteed to fit? Are the rims different between the front and rear? They look very different but are they just mounted backwards front and rear.
Maybe I should just buy an extra tire if the rims are different.
Are tire replacements needed for normal driving?
I drove my last RV across the USA without even knowing or caring about a spare. Am I being over cautious?

The rims are all the same and you can usually find one in a junk yard or buy a new one from Ford. In my 24.1 there is room in front of the hitch. I decided to just buy a tire since I have no way to change one anyway. It is nice to have the tire in case you are somewhere where it is difficult to find one. There’s lots of discussion on this issue in previous posts. Just use the search function. A TPMS is good insurance to provide warning.

Where could I purchase the wheel that would be guaranteed to fit? Tire retailer, Ford, wrecking yard. Are the rims different between the front and rear? No. They look very different but are they just mounted backwards front and rear. Yes, reversed

Get a wheel online from wheels and caps for $55 and find an orphan tire at discount tire or equivalent and you’ll be all set for about $150.

Just make sure it's a straight one. The cleaning and spray paint would have been worth the extra $20. I'm wearing trifocals now but my hindsight is 20/20.

Spare tire
I just bought a New wheel on line and found a used tire with a good manufacturing date on eBay . They fit in that area very well I found that I had to let some air out of the tire before it would go in it’s very tight between the rear crossmember and the hitch. I carry an air compressor with me so it’s no problem to add the extra air . Are use A piece of angle iron to go between the frames under the tire to hold it in place . I also installed a ratchet strap around the tire and around that crossmember as a safety . I am very pleased with the installation it is completely out of the way and it gives me peace of mind I also carry a jack and tools so I can’t change a tire anywhere .
