Stick on Tile Over Wallpaper

Our next project is to install the stick on tile in our bathroom. For those who have already done this, did you remove the wallpaper first? This project will go a LOT faster if we can go right over the wallpaper but we are worried about the extra weight pulling off the wallpaper and then having to start all over again.

Also, we would love to see some pics of your finished project.

Thanks in advance!

...Watching this one... We want to use the same technique for the backsplash in our kitchen.

Not sure I would use any stick on product considering the movement and twisting going down the road. I would probably use the real tile and cement and definitely remove all the wallpaper and seal the surface first before applying the adhesive.
Not all projects are quick, easy to do's.

I don't think a kitchen backsplash would pose an issue since the counter top supports most of the weight of the tiles. Just use premium glue. Maybe one of the Flex Seal products spread fairly thin would work since it stays a bit flexible. Go for it Bob!

The backsplashes in my kitchen and bath look like the peel and stick variety. I would think that individual tiles would come apart more easily with all the movement and bouncing/banging down the road.
