Weight Bearing on Back Wall

Hi,

I want to put a TV on the wall of a 2016 Freedom Elite class c. Thor won't give me a weight limit, what do you all think?

You do not say what THOR model you have. There are metal studs in Class A diesel pushers along with some others, and wood in others. Use a wood/metal stud finder to locate them. If the TV mount does not fit across the studs, then use a plank of oak across them and screw the TV mount into the oak planks. Finish/paint to your liking. In OEM construction, the manufactures put a metal plate between the studs where they mount the TV sets. If your model call for a optional TV that is not installed, the metal plate is still in the wall. You can find it with the metal stud finder.

Our 24F had a "TV ready" area in the bedroom. There were no metal plates behind the wall... just 1x2 pine framing.

I used a stud finder and marked the "studs" (actually firring strips). Mounted a 32" TV and have had no issues.

Go to the Thor owner’s resource page and download the structural diagrams for your coach. Once you determine stud material and placement you can determine what size tv and where to mount it to the wall.
