Out of balance
Bought a almost-new 2018 26B last yr (2,000 mi). Since day one has been lopsided about 1-1/4”. I believe with fresh tank, generator and propane tank on left side it makes sense. Anybody else have this issue and how can I correct?

My Freedom Elite listed a bit for the same reason. While in for alignment I asked my truck suspension guy and he said he could fix it by adding a small helper spring on the low side. Would have cost about $100. But he said it’s purely a cosmetic thing. Has no impact on anything operationally. It’s just the angle of the box on the chassis not the chassis itself. I decided not to worry about it and subsequently have noticed that lots of RVs lean. I just never noticed until it was mine.

Here's my questions:
Is the CHF essentially equivalent to putting on a new sway bar? The Roadmaster is $500+. If it's better, I'll put out the cash for that rather than spend less and have less improved results.
Is the situation the same for the rear links?
I plan to put on a track bar and SafeTPlus stabilizer as well. I was hoping that the CHF, steering stabilizer, and track bar would significantly improve things.

I finally got around to doing the front CHF today and also installed my Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. Didn’t have time for a road test but will tomorrow. I used Halfprices technique - with his kind help (thanks Jerry!). Easy to do. Did the rear CHF a few weeks ago when I replaced the broken sway bar bracket. I haven’t been unhappy with my machines handling but always open to improvement.

Pete
hope to meet you and Jeff one day also
Jeff Amarillo is calling you!!!!
So I went to Rich's house today. First was the rear track bar and first problem
Who ever installed the bolts on the sway bar bracket cross threaded one of them
We drove to Ace Hardware and they had the tap to fix the threads. Took a while to fix the threads but we got it done. Other than that rear track bar was pretty straight forward. We did the chf while reconnecting the sway bar to the links
Next was the safe t plus install. Again pretty straight forward. Having 6 inch ramps to lift the front end really helped
Think I only hit my head 5 or 6 times
Last to do was front chf. Rich bought the helwig adjustable links. Pain in the ass. Removing the top bolts, pass side mainly, was the pain. We pressed off the original bushings with the intent of putting them in the new links but that didn't work out. So we ended up using the bushings that came with the new links. They are to wide so we needed to cut them down a bit. Once that was done the new links are pretty nice
Planned to take a few pics of Rich working but that didn't happen but I got a few of the finished job

I’m tired too, and Jerry did 90% of the work!! I put in 200W of solar on Saturday and wired the new inverter into the plugs, and installed a TPMS. With the suspension upgrades, thx to Jerry, I’m fairly ready to hit the road for July Montana fly fishing. Adding a new camera monitor first, a big improvement.

Getting ready to do the same Track Bar on my 29M. Were you able to do it without jacking up the coach??

So, Richguess, speaking of a TPMS, how do you install those? Do they just screw onto the valve stems? Is there another system that you have installed by a tire shop inside the rims? Pros and cons to either system?

They just screw on the valve stems. I’ve not found any internal senders but would like to at my next tire change. You can get the screw on senders with air pass through (can add air without removing the sender) or without this feature. I chose the latter because I’ve heard they are less prone to leaking and removal is no more difficult than removing a regular cap. You’d think there would be a need to rebalance he wheels but I didn’t and have had no problems. If you are worried about it you could add a half ounce weight opposite the sender. I’m also a strong proponent of dually valves which avoid the frustrations of flexible extenders and put both valves on the outside wheel. Easy peasy.

Lockchuck92, is the front sterling stabilizer something you got from the place you bought your MH? I'm wondering when I buy my ACE later this year if this is something I tell the dealer to add before I pickup my MH? I've see too many youtube videos of MH with front tire blow out and the rigs are uncontrollable.

Yes it can be done without raising the rear. But it more difficult to move around under there
We drove his up on 6 inch wooden ramps
