SiriusXM adding favorite artists and songs

My non-RV vehicles have factory SiriusXM and integrated into the stereo unit and in the Sirius menu is a selection to add a currently playing song as a favorite artist or song for alerting.

If a favorite song begins playing on another channel, the listener is notified and I can go to that channel directly.

I will be upgrading the stereo in my upcoming Thor Vegas and would like this feature. Sadly, I have not seen this feature in aftermarket XM tuners, only factory stereos.

Am I missing something?

Actually that has been a feature of SXM for a while now (going back as far as when I worked there ).

The latest feature of SXM is called "360L" and includes a streaming portion where it prioritizes streaming over the satellite feed (streaming has a higher bit rate and thus sounds better).

Streaming also adds features such as on demand shows, and extra channels that aren't available on satellite.

Another new feature is called "Song start": If you designate several channels as your favorites and tune to one of them it will always try to start playback at the beginning of the current song instead of in the middle.

So basically if you're looking for an aftermarket radio just look for one that has "360L" on it and you'll get a bunch of features.

I do - Salisbury as well as Demons and Wizards. Add a little Blue Oyster Cult for good measure. As well as King Crimson, Deep Purple, Moody Blues, ELP, Traffic and very early Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green. And Pink Floyd…my fav. I drive the youngsters at the brewery absolutely crazy on my brew days.

I don't see aftermarket radios or an XM receiver only with 360L except for standalone receivers with their own display interface. I'll keep looking.
