Best purchase I ever made from Etrailer.com:
RM-RBK22-RSSA Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes
RM-1139-146 Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar
RM-1139-140 Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar
a shade over $1800.

Installed all 3 in just a few hours with strong friend. Recommend breaker bar and steel pipe extension to break those u-bolt nuts. No drilling needed. Several install videos on YouTube.

Road performance without follow-up alignment was miraculous. Test run from Los Angeles to Big Bear Lake (highway plus mountain driving) was comfortable for 8 passengers, 3 riding in rear bedroom.
Just returned from 5 days in Yosemite with 3 round trips into the valley. Handling cross country and in mountain roads was very comfortable. Semi's and flat front vans don't scare me no mo.

haha... got the day use reservation back in June when they first opened again.
Plenty of RV spots at Yosemite Ridge Resorts.

Save some money. Go on YouTube and watch the cheap handling fix for a Ford f53 chassis. You don’t need new sway bars, just stiffen up the ones you’ve got. I added a steering stabilizer. Loaded the coach with my stuff and 1/2 tank fresh water, full tank of gas. Had it aligned and front wheels balanced. Total cost $400. I can drive it with one hand. No sway around corners. Stays in its lane. Vastly reduced side push when big trucks go by. If you’re handy with a wrench, you can do CHF in your driveway in a couple of hours.

A month old thread, but looking to do this on my F53/ACE.....

Why do you recommend the alignment BEFORE the CHF? Im not sure that CHF would do anything to alignment, so I would have thought either way by me, but you must have a reason... and does that also mean you would prefer to undo the CHF for a future alignment?

Do CHF first, alignment next (with all your stuff in it), balance front tires, add stabilizer. I don’t know the it makes a difference but this is the order I did it in and it drives very easily. Do not skip the front wheel balance. They weren’t done at the factory.

The reason some say to do the alignment first is because after the alignment you may feel nothing else needs to done. No two people are the same and their thoughts on how a rig handles are different so why sink money into unnecessary modifications or additions when the alignment cures your, not someone else's, concern.

Thanks.. that makes sense... when I read Pete’sMH comment, I was interpreting that to mean that there was some mechanical reason that one should be done before the other... priority makes sense.. an alignment is more important than CHF (and might solve your problems)..
