THOR Axis sofa
We found the sofa to be very uncomfortable for sitting. So I removed it and replaced with Renfro 67in dual powered recliners. Power was readily available in a box on floor of slide. I used 3/4in ply to extend floor of slide for recliners frame support. Now we are happy campers!

We did the same in our Vegas 24.1 about a year ago and love it. We added a floor connection (whatever you call them} for the pedistal table berween the two other connectors and use the small table from the front so we don't have to juggle food plates. We never use the large table and can recline the chairs with the single pedistal or be able to get up easially with the table in place.

A common mod.
We also replaced the couch with recliners.

I would love to see photos if you have them.
Sounds as if this will really make the rig much more comfortable.
Pmorris92223, is your new table connector (pocket) mounted on the slide?

Not mounted on the slide, it's centered in front of the recliner on the floor. I'll get some pictures.

Have you got room for fresh water tank under the recliner. I’d like to put that in my 25.2 axis

those are nice and a good fit. i have not noticed this on the THOR 30.4. I like the sleep function of the sofa, so we are keeping it as is.

No, there is no room for a water tank under the recliners.

I agree that the OEM sofa is uncomfortable, mostly because the back is too vertical even though there is 5-6" behind it to go further back. I improved it significantly by installing new hinges at the bottom, which are wider so they let it lay back further. Half way decent now.
See pics below.

These are our mod. 68” from shop4seats. We used the manual seats as I don’t need another electrical item on that circuit. It has a 120v AC plug and 2 usb plugs in the console. Also a flip up reading light.

2nd to No to recliners in a 25.2. It's not just the water tank, but also the water pump and a bunch of pipes and valves. That was a secondary part of the reason we traded our 25.2 for a small Hurricane.
My current project is replacing the worthless L-sofa in our 27K with dual recliners from C W. The brand is Kathy Ireland. (Pleasant image!) They had it in a week with no freight charge, unlike the other choices. Plus we could actually try them out at C W. Found we didn't need or want the power option. And we caught an expiring 30% off sale. Part of the limitation was only 55 inches to work with. Pics coming soon...

Yes I think I will move my water tank and pump to the space between the two front storage compartments. I can get a 6 inch tank that will go from compartment on drivers side to the one on passenger side that should give us 20 gallons that’s all we need it’s just me and my wife and we don’t boondoggle and we carry filtered water from home to drink.

Are the Axis sofa seat belts floor mounted?
Wondering about seat belts when you replace the factory sofa.
We would like to have one or two extra seat belted places for grandkids.

On the 24.1 they are floor mounted. They just route the belts through the new sofa.

When the sofas and recliners are removed and replaced, do they fit through the normal entrance door? I have a 24.1 Vegas. I would like to do it (someday) but my spatial relations ability makes me think about having to take them apart. Thanks, Ed

You will have to disassemble any of the furniture as much as possible to remove them. The "incliners" that are installed in the Omni and magnitudes have backs that don't come off. The sides do as well as any center console. The seats portions have to be laid on their side. The door has to be fully open meaning any struts etc. removed to enlarge the opening. It takes 2 people as best method to work it around the corner. With sofas, if the backs come off then lay on side to get out the door. If backs don't come off you need to check all measurements of the thing to find out which way to position to get out the door. Basically the smaller you can make the pieces, the easier to remove. I guess last resort is a chain saw. Since a lot of people throw away the old stuff, do that or other destructive method doesn't make any difference.
For new stuff, most of the RV oriented furniture the backs come off to get in. If you are looking at regular residential, Best, LazyBoy Barcalounger, etc. make sure that they come apart in small enough pieces to get in the door. Chainsaw method of reducing size not desired for new furniture.
