Mounting Rack on Exterior

Hi folks

Rig: Majestic 19g

Limited space
Roof not an option
Front bump not an option
Rear bump, not an option

To Mount:
custom box to exterior all at rear
2 foot wide by 6 foot tall by 1 foot deep
Box- mostly wood

How to mount to exterior? Thru bolts?

EZ up in case
11 inch square, 64 inches long

for this i am thinking of a custom lower pocket/bracket
for the bottom
then two flat marine type eyelets to run a nylon cinch strap
holding it upright

Folding Table
24 x 26 x 3
thinking a lower shelf to rest on
undecided on how to cinch to side of rig

Mounting thoughts?
Pics?
Suggestons?

Best

Bill

PS: pick up rig Mid august

On my first motor home, I had no exterior cargo compartments(Class B), so I bought a very strong/sturdy hitch mounted cargo carrier with built in brake lights from ROLA. Ran around $200 for it. I think I bought it on Etrailer.com and it was a very strong cargo carrier. I also used a large lockable plastic cargo carrier box to store my things inside out of the weather. I had enough room for extra things around the outside of it. With it fully loaded, I could still stand on it to clean the rear windows of the motor home. Some add an additional generator on it for dry camping. There are also diamond plated metal cargo boxes that will fit on the hitch mounted cargo carrier for extra security that you might consider. Those are available at some auto part stores or online.

I used my set up for 2 years before trading up to my current motor home.

There's always the small utility trailer option also...
(I was initially thinking about hitch-mounted carrier)

The Hitch Rack is a great option,
but for size and parking etc, not an option

Thank you again for bringing that up

I know it hurts some folks to Mount to the exterior
But i am ok with it, just looking for mounting suggestions
possible first hand info mounting to walls of a motorhome

The trick is in finding something sold enough to mount to.
Remember: rough roads will add all kinds of stresses.
Can you tie something into your spare tire mount?

Spare will have a soft gear/trash bag

Like in a house, you have to find a stud

Thinking i may have to do a larger "plate" to get a solid anchor

However, my last rig (same model) had a ladder as alot of rigs do
and they find something to anchor them to......

Good plan!
But since she's just 7: why not get her the Palace that any Princess deserves?
