Re-Attach LED Strip Light Lead

Last year I installed an LED light strip on the underside of the coach, but after a few trips I noticed that one of the leads from the strip to the controller detached from the strip (including most of the copper pad). Any suggestions for re-attaching? Soldering it back while upside down has been the only idea I've come up with.

I'd solder it, then coat it with a liberal coat of epoxy for protection from the elements. Ain't no fun working upside down - that's for sure!

I did similar last year. Wired it up with our step light.

I put the LED strip in a poly tube then used liquid electrical tape to seal both ends to protect the LED strip. Figured since it was underneath the unit and exposed to elements that the strip would likely be comprised. Screwed some small ziptie brackets on and affixed the tube with LED strips with zipties.

Happy with how it turned out and should serve it's intended purpose for a bit.
