Freedom Elite Dump Valves.

Hey Campers!
Haven't written in a while.
I Have a 2017 Freedom elite 29ft.
We love it; but for one thing.
The dump valve location, it is under the living slideout.
I am 6'2 with bad knees, been using a stick to open/close valves.
I always worried about snapping off the handles.
My solution:
Bought 2 valterra cable actuatied valves.
Installation was very tight but doable.
Could'nt find a good place to put the new handles.
I did not want to drill holes in sidewall, plus it would mean to many bends in
the cables, they are not very flexable.
I got an idea "Why not put them in the wheel well".
Not a bad idea, barring no tire blowout, rare if pressure kept up.
I have added some pics;i think.
I still have to dress the cables and seal the cable ends.
Maybe a flap to cover the handles, just wipe of the cable entrance before
pushing it back in.

Thanks, now we are not afraid to try it. We have the 22fe, so we can run it into the storage area.

I wonder if you could hook them up to an electronic servo, and move them with a remote control??

Look at Drainmaster.
I dont think i would trust wireless; ever come home and find a garage door open?
You can buy entire systems, push a button black opens times out closes, grey opens times out closes.
all automatic.
I worked in electrical maintence for 30+ years.
Never could find a electric actuator that lasted more then 2 or 3 years.
For me the fewer the parts the better.
With manual your can feel if they bindup.
Everybodies different. good luck with any way you choose.
Safe Trip!
