Tire valve extenders

To remove the covers, you will see 2 opposing nuts that are a little different than the rest of them. These are the 2 that you have to unscrew to remove the cover.

This is a really cool idea.

If I have this system installed, can I forget about TPMS?
Or, on my little Class-C, can I go with only 4 TPMS transmitters instead of 6?

I had success at a local truck tire shop. They did the work (removing the shiny hubcap cover and retrofitting the dualies with “capless” valve stems), but even better, they showed me how to do it for myself. You will need a special lug wrench that fits the decorative lug nuts. However, it’s not expensive and can be turned by hand. No air tool is required.
This is good to know, because you may want to remove the shiny hubcap if the wheels get caked with mud. (Been there; done that!).
Just look in the phone book or online for a truck tire store.
