Today’s Project

The DW wanted a cutting board for over the stove. I broke out the table saw and router and set up in the garage. I can’t remember the last time I used them. I had a leftover piece of 3/4” finish plywood about 30x30” that already had two routed edges. (bonus). The cutting board is 21” W and 18” D. I glued and screwed two cleats on the bottom. (counter sunk screws) the cleat allow for a snug fit. Just some finish sanding and sealing is left.

Talking

Very nice ! It looks great.

My wife wanted me to do pretty much the same thing, but I solved that problem by trading that MH in on a new one that has a bifold glass cover over the burners.

As close as I can figure, that remedy only cost me about $50K. What a bargain !

Work is the curse of the leisure class !

Very nice! As our bi fold glass cover broke I like the cutting board idea!

You mean your wife cooks on the road! If it doen't fit in the microwave the GF won't even "go there". Seriously - great use of scrap wood.

Thanks for props on woodwork. We have been married 37yrs and we do what we do and it works for us. We take turns cooking at home and on the road.
