Sewage Hoses

All,

I've seen several folks offer mods to place tubes underneath the coach to store sewage hoses. Is there any downside to just capping them and storing them in the discharge compartment?

Thanks.

If your compartment is large enough, no. I don't think my hose would fit in the smallish compartment that my 24.1 has.

JamieGeek - Thanks for the fast reply. The compartment in our Axis 25.1 is pretty substantial. I could probably easily fit another span of hose in the with no problem. Spent the whole (first) year using tubs. Was cleaning out the storage compartments and realized they might fit. Sure enough, they do. Wife is happy now, as this frees up a whole bin of storage.

I keep two 10' hoses in the valve compartment of our Vegas 25.2. It stays put, and I can't see where it would damage anything. I considered a storage like JamieGeek's, but no reason for it with our model.

Good choice that you have them capped. That's great. I don't think I'd like it if they were uncapped.

I use mine. Also keep a flush hose in there...one worry is looping the hose around the valve and pulling it open. Naaw. That would never happen.

On my Class C I used a small chain attached to the gate valve bolts and a loop that went over the T handle to serve as a makeshift locking cable so the gate valves could not come open while travelling. I haven't done this to the Challenger yet, but I will sometime in the future.
