Upgraded the tail lights

I got rid of the very poor tail lights on my ACE and went with Barman LED's. I had to enlarge the holes a little. It took about 1 1/2 hours. Click image for larger version

When you had the tail lights off did you notice any issues with water intrusion?
For reference see here:

In addition did you have to increase the size of the holes (like FW28z had to do in the above thread)?

Amazing coincidence.

Although I went with the Bargman incandescent version rather than the LED version.

How much did you have to enlarge the openings?

Thanks,

Bruce

I had to cut between 1/2 to 3/4 in. on top and square the corners. I used a small saw air saw with a blade that cut 1 in deep then used a chisel to pop out the pieces. A little scary at first then it was easy. I found the lights on E-bay.

nice! hard to tell if it's flash reflection or not, but it looks like those LEDs throw out a lot more light.
