Upholstery Replacement

If you have replaced your furniture, did you find a local upholstery shop or buy new furniture online? If online, what company and are you satisfied with what you got.

We purchased covers from Amazon to hide the crappy stuff Thor used. After having the RV for a few months we decided we did not really like the floor plan as it pertains to watching TV. Our TV is at a 45 degree angle from the sofa. Replacing the crappy sofa with something new would not improve our ability to comfortably watch TV. They only 'good' spots to watch are from the cab seats. But after driving all day, we don't really want to sit in the same seats to watch TV. So, we found some covers on Amazon that compliment the coach's interior and covered the dinette cushions and the cab seats. The sofa has a bunch of throws on it for the dogs comfort.

Yes both. Rec Pro for cloth reclining love seats, local for dinette and Shop-4-Seats for the captain's chairs. Stay away from Rec Pro vinyl seats. Cloth and Brisa seem to hold well in our usage.

We replaced our theater seating with power theater seats by Lambright, check out Lambright Comfort Chairs RV Furniture . We have the Lambright Lux 68in in ultrafabrics ultraleather. We also called Williamsburg Furniture and gave them the pattern numbers on the tags on our front captains Chairs and dinette cushions and had new covers made, also with ultrafabrics ultraleather and installed ourselves, very easy. Extremely happy with everything.

We had our front captains seats reupholstered by a local shop with marine vinyl.

Replaced the crappy J sofa with manual double recliners in vinyl from that big RV supplier with letters C W. The brand is Kathy Ireland, whose image always makes me smile!

We were somewhat limited due to narrow width that ruled out most options.

I looked at RecPro and Bradd and Hall, but both were too expensive, involved a lot of shipping and several weeks of delay. This was about 18 months ago, and we are happy with our choice.

RV furnitire

We bought from a manufacturer in LaHabra, CA...kind of close to us. Had them shipped and we put them in. They had a package deal...driver/passenger, couch, dinette w benches and table, and recliner. Was able to get the same color as was originally in the rig and hoping that the upholstery lasts better than the junk that came with it. Shop4Seats, I think that was the name.

A few years back decided to replace jack knife sofa. Ordered Thomas Pane Collection series recliners. The they are constructed well and solidly built. Only problem they started peeling after about a year. If anyone know of a nice cover, please forward.

Look for residential furniture to replace RV junk. Lazyboy has good stuff but look for wall hugging styles that the backs come off for ease in getting in the RV door. Best Furniture, that's the brand name, has decent swivel rocker recliners in petite size, not over stuffed. As someone said, if going with Recpro, stay absolutely away from the fake leather looking vinyl, it WILL fail in 3 or so years at best. I got the regular fabric and an happy with it. Year and half and counting.

Furniture Replacement

Bradd and Hall in Elkhart IN helped us with complete furniture upgrade in our 2017 Hurricane. They offer a variety of styles from different manufacturers as well as their own custom woodwork (see dinette and cabinet pics) and captain's chairs. Their installation was very professional. They assisted us with solving several design issues. They even offer power pedestals for overnight stay prior to install. We are very pleased with the results. Some pics attached.

Do you mind telling us what you spent? Looks very nice. We are considering the same for our 2017 Challenger. What kind of fabric did they use? I’d like to go with faux leather, but concerned with peeling like our original furniture did.

I suggest a good quality Ultra Leather". It's not real leather but a high quality synthetic product. Good Ultra leather costs more than real leather and wears well. Peeling is crappy vinyl and "bonded leather".

TxTig we replaced all upholstered furniture with Ultra Leather Brisa Distressed Chamois. Bradd and Hall did the custom cabinetry and Cherry Table top. They also did a matching table for the front when we use the captains chairs as living area seating. The media chairs are Lambright, the dinette is Villa and the captains chairs are Bradd and Hall. The total for the install was 10k +. Would have been less than 10 without the woodwork. Their customer service and workmanship quality is top notch.

Wrapped, we are looking at the same Lux 68" to replace the theater seating in our 3401. Did you have it shipped or go to Topeka for installation? Thanks

Ordered directly from Lambright, they shipped it, came in 5 boxes on a wooden pallet and shrink wrapped.

Thanks. Did you tackle the installation yourself? I have been told the seat backs release from the factory recliners but I haven't investigated yet.

Yes very easy, it took longer to remove the old recliners than installing the new ones.

No tools for assembly, seat backs drop on,seat bottoms have 2 pegs on steel frames and center console has slots on both sides of frame. We added wireless charger on console and wife loves it.

I went and looked at my seats. I can the attachment or release mechanism on the sides but didn't try to figure out if pull/push/twist/other to get the backs to release.
