Axis 25.6 under bed storage

Hi all,
I thought I had posted a picture of the wasted space under our beds where Thor put a cushion but now can't find it. I couldn't understand why Thor did this, and wanted to share our solution.

We had a carpenter build up the space with 1x4s into 4 usable sections. I can store my rug, which is a thin antique and folds flat, all linens, plus canned goods. We also had him make a drawer under the dinette seat under the TV that was a pain to use for storage (no picture).

Both totally worth the $300 he charged. And I've got paint now to match and will attend to that shortly.

Very nice. It's what I want to do to our 25.3. Is the bottom "panel" the original part of the bed frame or did you do a frame with bottom?

Not really. The bed just folds up during travel when the slide is in. When we are parked it stays set-up all the time.

It had a bottom already - there was a panel there, so this thing I had built just sits on top of it and can easily be removed with 4 screws. I wasn't sure if there might ever be a need to get under it, so I asked him to make it easy to take off.
