Vegas/Axis Drip Rail
My previous RV was a Forest River travel trailer that had a legitimate gutter system with end spouts. That system protected the sides of the RV from drip marks.
My Vegas, with a more streamlined design, isn’t set-up for a typical gutter system.
So I ordered on Amazon: Trim-Lock Drip Rail
The product comes in 25’ rolls with self-stick foam tape attached.
I cleaned off the location where the line runs, and then lightly sanded for best adherence.
Once in place, the water is guided to either end of the roof rather than down the side of the RV.
I ordered enough for both sides of the Vegas.
I’m very satisfied
Here are photos of the final install.

Interesting that it looks looks you applied it to the top of the machine rather than the side. I have purchased gutter like that for my MH but was planning to use them on the side with drip spouts. Am I missing something?

Yep, that's a different install.

It looks cheesy on the side (IMHO).
And, in photos on the manufacturer’s website, all the good looking RVs put it on top where it blends with the white roof.
It works great on the top.
They also sell it in Black

Thanks. I’ll have to consider it that way. Really want the drip spouts though....

My opinion...
If the side of your RV is not white or black, the drip rail will show and look tacky.
On my Forest River trailer, the trailer was white and the drip rails matched the color of the fiberglass.
On my current rig, there is actually a 1” line of white roofing along the top of the wall where the roof material is wrapped. So I could have put the drip rail there in the traditional way.
Personally, I didn’t like the way it looked.
And after researching images on the internet I came across several high-end rigs that placed the drip rail along the roof edge (like I did it).
That way it’s un-noticeable and now you have just two areas on each side of your RV that needs to be wiped down
vs
Previously, there were drip lines everywhere and took a lot of extra time to buff out

AGREED, it does look cheezy on the side and from experience not as effective lower on the rig. Been looking for an answer to the drip/streak problem and also the A/C condensate issue, which depending on the campsite can drip anywhere along the awning area. Will purchase more and try this fix on our Vegas!

Cheesy or functional. My setup brings the water back behind the awning. and uses a drip spout behind the awning. Vinyl spray paint matched the RV and the awning hides it from view anyway. Almost 5 years and 52,000 miles.

Yours is functional & concealed.
Thanks for sharing
My comment has to do with the color
Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find, & expensive to source, a drip rail in the matching “champagne” color of my rig.
So white & black drip rails look conspicuous & obvious, like it’s not suppose to be there.
That’s what I meant.
Drip rails are an add-on item that THOR should have in their arsenal.
A matching color, obscure & useful drip rail for all their models.

Taylorbob1- understood- The Siesta/Synergy layout, -the water from the roof AC unit is channeled by the awning to dump directly over the entry door. The roof has a slight forward slope even on level ground.. Prior RV was GeorgieBoy Dp had gutters built into awning rail..

Drip rail
Glad you shared this and with the pictures. My Thor axis is similar. I bought 25'
of the railing on amazon but haven't installed it yet, so this gives me needed info.
I haven't noticed streaks on the driver's side but it does run right down over the passenger side entry door, so now I have one more project before we take it out this year! Thanks again.

My 2016 Newmar Bay Star Sport had no way to drain water either. I bought the white and put it on top, thinking white drip and white top would blend well. That was a bad decision. I think you could see it from the other side of a hill. I replaced it with the black which looked more like a drip rail and it worked out nicely; expensive having to buy it twice but nicely.
I like this product and would buy it again. I did put it on the rounded edge on the top.

What good would that do? Won’t it potentially prevent the AC condensation from dripping over the door every time I try to enter or exit? Why spend that much on the RV if you can’t get dripped on all summer long? And the water stains add character to the sides! Seriously, good find.

gutter fix
i was searching on Youtube for an RV gutter solution and this guy bought 1-1/4" pvc pipe, ript it in half, slid it in the groove on the side and held it in place with screws at the end. I'm in the process of painting the pvc and gutter extensions to match our Axis's color. I'll add those pics when its installed. BTW, at Home Depot their Rust-Oleum "Satin Heirloom White" spray is as close to the Axis champaign color as you're going to get. I taped off the ends as to be able to glue a joint piece in the center.

Must be nice to go to a store to pick something up. In Ontario all the retail stores are closed to the public since the covie set in. Everything has to be ordered and paid for online then after you get an email your purchase is ready you head to the store to get it. Could be 2 days to a week. Some places have free shipping and that's at least a weeks wait.

I bought the paint.
It's rustoleum 2x branded.
Thanks again.
(I did not buy the pipe to make the gutters. Too many other projects, but I will do this pipe gutter or paint the op's glue on gutter.)
