Vegas radio Swap

Guys,

I have a 2015 Vegas 24.1, I hated the AXXERA head unit so decided to swap it out for a Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX. Took last weekend to install and clean up the wires behind the dash. I thought i was complete, decided to take the RV out on a small trip and fill up the fuel tank. A few miles from home the radio displays "Speed pulse wire is not connected. The system will operate in simple hybrid mode." Any ideas where to connect the pink wire on the radio labeled "Car Speed Signal Input"? I called pioneer and was told "This product was not intended for a motorhome" lol. I have searched online to no avil.. Any Ideas or suggestions ??

Thx

According to this link, the speed indicator is used by the cruise control. So you should be able to tap into it there. The Pioneer manual states that it is required for accurate GPS.

I have the model without the GPS. You will love it. Apple Carplay rocks! The screen is brighter. There is a setting to add graphic bars to the rear camera to help with distance detection. I also love that I can angle the screen for better viewing.

Good Luck!

You will probably need to contact Ford for the wiring diagram of the cruise control.

I don't know about the splice. It is a signal. As long as the splice is clean, it should work. If you are not sure, you might consider asking a competent stereo installer.
