Cooker Hood - Variable Fan speed

This little mod was a game changer for us. Our cooker hood on the Vegas is / was loud and only had the one speed. that speed was the LOUD speed
So. I bought a 15 dollar PMW speed controller form Amazon and drilled a hole in the cooker hood for the knob, added the PMW board up underneath behind the shroud out of the way of the steam and dirt and now we have a totally variable speed fan that can stay on low if I'm just doing an egg or on full if I am browning a steak. Sometimes it is the little things that just keep on giving smiles

Above Counter Electrical Socket

Because we use a lot of electrical appliances (Espresso maker, kettle, air fryer, waffle iron etc) I went ahead and added an 110v socket above the counter in the Kitchen. The Vegas only had one socket which was over the side of the counter which had all the cables draping across the sink. Wall surface socket box, short piece of cable conduit i had left over from some under counter lights i bought for a house and a short piece of Romex. I also added a box under the counter where I spliced into an existing cable.
