Wall anchors

Hi

We are replacing the bathroom mirror and have a soap dispenser to mount on the wall. Now it occurs to me, what anchors do we use to make sure everything doesn’t fall off the wall? Each item has screw mounts so I am sure I will need something to hold them in. Can’t believe Thor made the walls so screws will hold without something holding them in.

Any ideas about what the interior walls are made of and thoughts on anchors would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'd use epoxy, and glue it to the wall...

Go into a stud where you can, you can use anchors with some success. I have had the dealer mount some things for me, they will actually pull the wall board and put a wood backing panel behind it to hold things solidly.

I believe the walls are probably 1/8 inch luan. Spaenaur makes several fasteners. Jack Nuts or Well Nuts would be other options. Well nuts would certainly hold but the flange would stick out a bit. I have used Well Nuts to faster solar panels on a roof which is only 1/8 inch luan also.

Thanks for all the responses. I started with wall anchors but and isn’t there always a butt with rvs. I got two anchors in and then found metal behind the wall ?? Anyone have any idea what that could be ? It’s about 4 inches wide and runs vertically behind the bathroom sink. I don’t really want to drill a hole in it without knowing what it is I am drilling

It could be EGS (electro‐galvanized sheet) metal backer plate. They are normally put where cabinets are mounted, or on your roof where the ladder is attached, satellite dish, or Tv antenna mounting places. Not knowing your model layout not sure what is behind where your mounting your items. You could always give Thor a call and ask them. They would more than likely provide you with schematics(depending on the year).
