My old 2014 Palazzo has a Jensen sound & camera system. (That a lot of people don’t like)

I disabled side view cameras with on screen menu settings. Was easy.

Hope your system is as easy. Peter

That's what I did. The G armin 770 (I think) has room for a camera. That one is mounted above the one built into the coach, and can be left on all the time. The other shows the sides and back up when in reverse.

I have not had the need to use it, thank goodness,1, but if anyone comes knocking on my door at night I want to see who it is. The right camera works for me

Screen, $70 from Amazon, is podofo 9" TFT LCD Split Screen Quad Monitor.

I did the same thing. Just finished an LA to Atlanta drive and got very comfortable with the configuration. I did realize that I didn’t really need the side camera views as they took up space on the monitor and didn’t give me any more information than my mirrors. So I put the rear camera view exclusively on the monitor. I could see any vehicles from that view who were speeding up behind me and when my trailer was clear when changing lanes. I did run into visibility issues in the monitor when the sun was behind me or at night when headlights were shining. Turning the brightness on the monitor all the way to 0 helped a lot.

I'm currently in the process of adding the separate monitor. I bought the same Amazon as you. I disconnected the box and connected the video cables to the monitor but am getting no picture. I added the power and ground to the monitor but only getting the blue screen. Is there a trick to this?

Dafoot: see my private message. You must supply a new 12v power source to the cameras to replace the power they got from the box.

Back to original post...
- the only thing that really bothers me with the side camera is when I’m on a city street and use the turn signal
- then I come to a red light and my turn signal remains on (for the courtesy to others). And the entire time I wait at the signal the side camera is on and I can’t see my Toad

I really dislike that

So my preference would be a system that the more expensive rigs have...a small picture of side view within a large picture of rear view.
aka...PIP
