Wanting to mount our BBQ on outside of coach

We have a 24' Thor FourWinds, Class C. We purchased a gas BBQ that can hook up to the onboard propane gas line near the rear of the coach. The BBQ has a mounting bracket to attach to the exterior shell of the coach IF there is "backing" in the coach wall. Does anyone know if there is proper backing about 3' behind the rear wheels(passenger side), right below the storage compartment? We'd like to be able to mount the bracket rather than use a table.

Think about the heat that close to the outside wall. It is significant.

Maybe a rear bumper mount?

Contact Thor and ask for the wall structural diagrams for your coach. The diagrams might be available on the owner's resource page after you register.

Personally, I wouldn't think about doing this because I have seen to my rigs (primarily travel trailers) with side wall damgee caused by the excess heat and smoke.

Thanks!

Thanks! We did contact Thor for schematics but no response....which was disappointing. And you are right about the possible heat damage, so we may just put our grill on a table away from the coach.

Mousemate mentioned some sort of bumper mount as a possibility?

You may look around and also find a trailer hitch mount if ur not pulling all the time. Or maybe double hitch adapter for bike rack and grill if necessary. There are probably options on Etrailer.com thx, Dennis.
