Sway bars

Wondering if any one had sway bars placed on their RV? I don’t like how large trucks and wind push the motor home around. Wonder if they make a difference?

Our first trip made me cry. My husband installed heavy duty sway bars and steering stabilizers. Now he can drive with one finger instead of the white knuckles death grip. Rockauto.com has videos and parts needed.

Not knowing what unit you have.. I also added SUMO, Steering, Sway, control. I am now driving 1 handed and texting while driving again!

I’ve done the Chf on my 2017 Thor 29M but will also look into some sway bars and stabilizer as well

I certainly hope you’re joking.

We have an ACE on a Ford F53 chassis and handling was problematic until we added a Roadmaster front replacement HD anti-sway bar (eliminates the need for the CHF) as well as a rear Roadmaster supplemental HD Anti-sway bar. Made a significant handling difference. We also added a steering stabilizer more for safety (e.g., tire blow out) than handling, then loaded rig up and had an alignment done by a truck shop. Over 5K miles with no more issues.
