Why is our Bigfoot quote so high? From Michigan factory!

Hello, we just purchased a 2019 Thor Vegas 25.6. The quote we got from Bigfoot factory in Michigan seems very high. What’s wrong here? Or am I getting lied to?

E450 EZ Auto 4pt with pads $3370 + $600 installation.

Other people in this forum shows they paid $2800 - $3300 with installation.

What’s wrong here?

Thanks,
Cora

Why such a high cost????
It’s called inflation
Here it comes!!!!

To save a few $$$ like Scubawise...I suggest you consider the $2800 manual style controller

I have HWH with a joystick controller
The manual controller works great, is quick, and simple for making fine adjustments

Don’t count in other folks quotes being accurate. Folks might want others to think they got a better deal than what they actually received. Unless they provide a paid in full receipt any quoted cost is questionable.

That quote sounds accurate and normal for the full auto system. If you want to save some money the manual system costs considerably less. Chances are, that's the price you're thinking of.

Bigfoot "Platinum" system:
https://www.shop.thebigfootleveler.c...n-PC-E3501.htm

This system lowers the jacks until they're touching the ground automatically, then you lower/raise the jacks to level the RV using the control pad.

Thanks guys! The difference is manual vs automatic. I can see the prices listed right on their website! We will skip the manual. Thanks for the heads up!!

George,

Great, The Ford chassis typically do not have any issues for space, so pictures won't be necessary.

I have the Auto system- AC-E4501 for $3,370.00 This is hit one button and that is it.

The Platinum system is PC-E4501 for $2.195.00. This unit, you hit a button the front legs come down to the ground, then you adjust it with a button to level the coach. then hit the rear button and do the same.

Both of these would be $600.00 for the install plus Michigan sales tax. We accept checks, cash or credit cards. There would be 3% for credit cards.

Pushing a button, and having the rig leveled-up on less than 30 seconds?
Priceless!

I don't think that quote is out of line. We checked into their systems a year or two ago and the price was similar then, depending on what you opted for.

We decided to hold off and see if we would get better at leveling as we used the rig more. Indeed we have (or we've just become better at picking level sites). So for now we've stayed with our blocks and it works fine. Lots of places we can spend that kind of $$$.

2-3 yrs ago members of the Forum were quoting deep discount specials at BigFoot with $300 install at the plant

So what Scubawise is quoting sound reasonable

Install is half price ($300) in the winter. Can't imagine why people would need some kind of incentive to go up there in the winter ......

We have an appointment next month with Bigfoot. The gentleman on the phone gave us two options.

Platinum and the one touch system. The one touch system is about $4200 installed. The other about $1K less.

Had our platinum system installed in Dec 2019... We paid $2800 out the door, foot pads included...In the winter months they offer the install for $300... Took them 2 1/2 hours to install...We arrived the day before and they have a few spots where can plug into shore power....They took the RV at 8 am and we were back on the road heading to NC at 11 am....

The discounted install I believe comes around December. I just missed it when we did ours. We paid $500.

Side note. Don't get rid of your riser blocks. We find even with the system we still need to pre-rise our front wheels at times due to the lousy leveling of campsites. By raising the front wheels when your front is lower than about 4 inches it keep the system from raising the front wheels off the ground.

I'm heading up there this coming Sunday for a Monday install. I was quoted about $3,000 for the Platinum manual system. Not sure about the Snap Pads yet...

Our 28z class c could not use them due to the feet being at almost the minimum road clearance.

Huh…pre-virus it was a $3-3500 “out-the-door” price

Well,
Like gas & lumber, inflation has hit BigFoot.
