Will a macerating pump kit fit in a 2015 Thor Vegas 24.2

We now have a new to us RV and are getting ready to go on a trip. We've been looking at the macerating pump kits but can't really tell if it would fit in. Has anyone got a recommendation to do this for this model? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum!
Are you considering a permanently mounted narrator, or a portable kit?

We'd like the permanent one but would consider the portable if necessary. Hubby is an electrician, so the wiring shouldn't be a problem. We plan on doing some boondocking, so we think this would be helpful. There really isn't a lot of room in the space though.

Others have installed macerator kits in the 24.1. I'm not sure how you think this will help with boondocking; the effluent still has to go into a sewer system.

We will be traveling back and from our property towing an ATV. We're able to stop at a family property where we could use the pump into the septic system far easier than getting one of those wagon things.

We use our FLO JET on our 25.2 as a "portable" kit. Not sure how you would mount it permanently, but if someone has, we would love to hear how they did it.

If your goal is to install it and use the pump only then the Flojet (there are also others) permanent should fit. It has a hose that goes from the drain in your picture to the location of the pump. Your access looks about like mine on the Hurricane and I use the portable unit when I need it, but it can not stay connected all the time on my rig. here is a link to the clean dump system:

One word of caution with the macerators, if you eat cherries, don't swallow the seeds. Don't ask me how I know.

You have NOT painted a pretty mental picture...
(Did those pits take out the windows, in a nearby RV? )

Yes a clean dump will fit in an Axis/Vegas. I have installed two.

This is a bit of a tread Hijacking but...
Many folks use them and it works for them. I had one installed and it jammed and would not work again. I installed a new one myself. It stopped working after a few months. Came home early to dump a full tank. After receiving the parts from Amazon I redid the entire system with the original larger pipes and new valves and in a better place in the compartment. And with the 12v now freed up, I added a light to the compartment. I use a clear 90 degree with a 9" extension. I no longer have to get under the RV to attach the sewer hose.

The macerator pump was attached to the underside of floor directly to the rear of sewer compartment and in empty space there with two in/out holes for hoses. I have a 25.3 so your set up maybe different.

I have had three macerator systems over the past 7 years thru 80,000 miles and have never had one jam or fail. Having lived with boat waste systems for 12 years before we had an RV, we are very careful what we put into the waste tank and I run water thru the system at least once a month. I have never opened a system to clean it or repair it. Lucky.. Maybe. But I have found that the Clean Dump system is very reliable. And if it fails, one twist removes it and you can revert to the regular hose.

I Installed my portable flojet in my 29.3 ace using a flexible short hose so I could bend it which ever way I needed to get it to fit. If I can remember tomorrow I will post a picture here. It is certainly handy if you cant get the blue boy close to it, I put my blueboy on one of those rear hitch carriers, then pump to the blue boy, haul to the dump. I hate dragging a tote behind the car.

I use a twist on valve before the macerator, that keeps all the ick stopped before it goes to the macerator in case for some reason I need to remove it and use the slinky.

Your ACE sewer compartment looks quite a bit bigger than the Axis/Vegas ones.

Really? I'm surprised given how often you post the scene from the RV movie

It is 22" wide, 18" tall and 22" deep, of course the tank takes up about 8" from the heigth.
