Windsport 27B living area vent replacement

I am considering replacing the living area vent with a MaxxFan Deluxe. My theory is since the MaxxFan is reversible, I can draw fresh cool air in and down and use my exhaust fan in the kitchen to vent hot air up and out. Plus, I like having a fan. Anyone run power to this vent before? If so, do you know the best wiring route?

Take the inner trim ring off and inspect around the vent--you may already have power prewired there--something Thor tends to do.

If there isn't power you can always look for a nearby light and run wires from there (of course if the light is controlled from a wall switch you'll need to leave the switch on to run the fan).

The exhaust fan in the kitchen moves nowhere near as much air as the Maxxfan does. Use the Maxxfan to exhaust the hot air and let the cool air come in select windows and the door.
