Windsport Rear Trac Bar Installation Tomorrow

Got my Rear Ultra Trac Bar for my 2018 29M Windsport RV today. Installation will be tomorrow so I'm looking for any tricks that have been learned. Any heads up will help this old timer get her done! Can't wait to drive this new Motor Home...

Go to Jerry’s Hurricane mods and search, Jerry installed a track bar on his coach and had a lot of good tips and pictures. From what Jerry documented it didn’t sound like a difficult job.

Have an air impact wrench handy. There are few who can get enough leverage under the coach to torque the 3/4"-16 tapered thread lock nuts (190 ft lbs). Fortunately there are only two of them.

A must to do is disconnect the sway bar from the links. This removes the pressure on the sway bar so it can line up with the track bar brackets

Since the sway bar is disconnected, when you reattach you should do the chf

When installing the bracket to the frame do not tighten the bolts. Just tighten enough so the bracket stays on but still loose. Then tighten after the cross bar is attached. Tighten driver side cross bar first. This will make it easier to get passenger side bracket even. Then tighten passenger cross bar. Last tighten passenger bracket to frame.
Remember to use loctite and torque to spec. Torque spec is included with the instructions

If you haven't already, take a look at installation videos made my Henderson's R.V. in Oregon. Looks simple enough "if" you have the right tools and access. I had one installed on my Class C. Made some difference in side sway.

Installation is complete thanks to some info from Jerry. All is good for now, the real test comes tomorrow during a trip South to get tires balanced. See ya for now and thanks.
