Windsport Rear Window Ventilation

On our Windsport 27K we feel the bedroom is seriously lacking in ventilation (and windows in general). To alleviate the ventilation situation, we remove the screen, prop the rear escape window open with a couple of chopsticks and replace the screen over the window.

Overall this seems like a pretty cheesy solution and I am wondering if someone has come up with a better way to get ventilation from that rear window? A more elegant way to prop it open than cheap disposable chopsticks? Or better yet, a replacement window that has a sliding opening and will still function as an escape?

Any ideas appreciated.

This is what they use in the Forest River world for a push open escape window. Also in the Fleetwood world.

Not sure how your window is designed but some will fall out when opened to far.

I'll have to see if I can order that part from FR or Fleetwood. I like it.

I remember reading that on here recently. I'll have to be careful and maybe see if mine does if opened too far. Thanks

That is also used in the Thor world for the escape window in the bathroom of my Challenger.

The red pull handle is for removal of the screen in a hurry.

The escape window in my bedroom is a two part window. Escape window without screen on the right with a normal crank out frameless part on the left.

I have same RV ordered it on Amazon but to much alterations to the window and frame to make it work reurned it I just use a piece of 6"x3\4" PVC with rubber feet to keep it propped open

Our Cougar 5th wheel had that escape window. The little indentation in the red handle is used to prop it open when using it for ventilation.
