VEGAS dual voltage meter

I figure that someone else had already done this, but thought I would post it anyway.

I took the DUAL MIRROR HDMI/USB connector out of my 2016 VEGAS dash (since I would never use it)

And installed s DUAL VOLTAGE METER showing CHASSIS voltage as MAIN, and COACH voltage as AUX..

Love seeing the status of both systems on the dash (and whether the systems are actually charging on ALT, SHORE, or GENNY

Wow I like that, better than the one I put in (I put in a USB charger that shows the input voltage):

Although I could replace the other 12V socket with the same thing and just hook up the house battery instead of the chassis battery.
(of course that would mean our Axis would have 14 USB chargers available LOL).

Looks like this is the one (Amazon) that you put in.

Hey look they have one that measures voltage and current (Amazon)

or one that looks like a rocker switch (Amazon as well).

Yup, that is exactly where I got it... I had the plug in voltage with USB plugs (red) buy kinda wanted to see both in case I needed to use the 12v power plug (and BLUE in better than red )

I bought the rocker switch version... On my 'todo' list to install...
A blank switch available below the radio on my Hurricane.

Plan to tap off radio power (both chassis and house power there).
Picked up a solid state relay - so when coach power is present it's voltage will display.. and energize relay that will connect chassis power to it's display...
Switch to 'store' and all goes off - leaves no drain on chassis.

Connected to the wires in the connect plug feeding the axxera radio.

Chassis +12 YELLOW

Coach +12 GREY/BLACK

Ground Screw Lug on back of radio

All handy and easy to get to...

Wow ..... Thank you!! I was going to put two separate ones in one down by the steps and one on the dash but that's a great solution thank you.

I wasn't too concerned about turning off the chassis display as we are almost always on shore power or boondocking, and I want to make sure it doesn't drop below 12.0.

We did hook up a relay to shut power off to the GPS, TIRE MINDER, TABLET (for ODBC monitoring) so when the coach is not running (or in ACC mode) the 12 volt supply to those devices is turned off..
