your best Mod so far?

What type of BIDET did you add. Like you we have home bidets in all bathrooms at home, now want to add one to RV/motorhome.

Got the two 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and 3k inverter installed and working. Did a few DC amp draw tests with clamp meter directly on battery cable:

Inverter draws 3.7 amps idle
Uses .1 amp on power saver

Refrigerator draws 29 amp (-3.7)*
Microwave 120 amps (-3.7)
Water Heater 120 Amps (-3.7)
Portable heater 131 amps (-3.7)
A/C uses 180 amps DC current (-3.7)
*Readings include inverter amps

Furnace blower minimal

Just ordered two MaxxAir Deluxe fans. They're supposed to be ultra low amp draw. Will test after install for proof.

Based on this, I would require something like 12kWh to run the A/C overnight.

But if I forget to switch it back to Propane, the AGS will start up genny and remind me if battery voltage drops to 12.5vdc

I think I just did my most favorite mod but haven't tested yet:
I did my own "RV airflow" mod (could not convince myself to spend $340 on original RV airflows) and the ACs are blowing what I think is close to double the air volume they used to push...
We will find out next month during our trip To Florida and SC.....

So before that, I really love the centramatics...

Right at the entrance of ducts in the roof there is a diverter which in my bedroom AC was out of place 3 in so I corrected that too.
Building a V diverter there also increase the intake area so you get multiple improvements at the same time.

No one's going to like any of my favorite mods, but I do and I live here full-time so mine is the only opinion that matters.

1. Removed both rooftop A/Cs and replaced with reversible vent fans
2. Replaced standard roof vent with one that has a reversible fan
3. Added receiver hitch to the front
4. Removed forced air furnace, added 2nd water heater and used that to power a closed-circuit radiant floor heat system
5. Removed broken factory awning then made my own custom awnings for each individual window all the way around
6. Reused broken awning parts and some leftover parts from front reciever hitch to build a rack on the rear bumper
7. Installed a backup camera
8. Plus lots of cosmetic mods -- too numerous to mention

You obviously live were it cold, no relevant humidity, and more specifically... NOT in 100 plus degree temperatures.

The only question I have is why the hitch in the front? I replaced my OEM hitch in the back, but at 18,000lbs not sure what would tow the RV using hitch?

A really great windshield blocker reflective fabric frame mounting point. A facing north when parked in AZ savior of a device.

Bull bar aux bumper ($40ish) to protect the fascia from curbs.


Specifically, the 'why' of my front receiver;

Tow-truck hook point to get it on a flat bed so my fascia won't be destroyed. (Doubtful usage expected)

Mount for my 12,000 portable (front or rear) winch mount.(portable is subjective. It weighs 130ishlbs.)
(Already used once for someone stuck)

Mud hole/wet grass pulling-outer snatch rope mount. Me being stuck or some stuck guy.(anchored someone who was winching a vehicle onto a trailer)

Our best...for pure comfort was 2 fold.

#1 Installed new latex matteressessss. Pure aaaahhhhhh
#2 Installed lumbar bar supports in front seats.

For safety and increased peace of mind, we went from 16 inch to 19.5 inch wheels.

that does seem to be OK for a vehicle with more underside room. with your lift, it just may work.

My tire diameter didn't change. My axle is still stock height.
Pumpkin clearance/axle height changes only with portals or tire diameter.
So, I'm not sure the auto chains will fit, I'll drive by the manufacturer. If they say yes...on they go.

Had I a Chevy chassis and 4x4, I'd put in portals, raising everything and still have stock tire diameter. The Chevy doesn't require a lift for the 4x4.(and I'd have a blower)

My automatic chain option would be to travel with our grandson so he could do the hook up.
