I have the same Harbor Freight compressor mentioned also. Works fine off the 12V battery and takes very little storage room. After having a leaking valve stem while on a trip a few hundred miles away, this little compressor and my tire pressure monitor got me home without any tire damage or worse. Peace of mind when you’re traveling without a spare tire.

I went with the Viair 400 RV model. In addition to being small and all in one bag, I use the unit to blow out my water lines when winterizing. It's one of those things that's better to have and not need, than to need and not have.


For those old military folks, I like doing PMCs on the RV while camping and this is just another tool to help me keep my tires easily at 95 PSI.
