Air compressor?

Again, I did a search 1st, and nothing came back, so I apologize

I was planning on bringing my pancake compressor and tire chuck and air gun with me, is this worth having on board, or just a waste of valuable space??

Thoughts??

Thanks.

A lot of folks do carry compressors.
I've never felt the need for one... If I end up with a flat tire: I'm calling for someone with "Big Truck", and let them change it for me.
Since the compressor should probably be able to inflate an RV tire with ease: any compressor that you carry, should probably have at least a 125 psi capacity. That usually does make for a pretty large dent in your storage capacity...
But if you're carrying a small one for air mattresses and inflatable cushions:

I carry a Pancake compressor, Has come in handy a few times. All so a clip on air nozzle to clip on the stem, and a good pressure gauge. I all so carry a battery operated impact gun.

I am thinking I would rather have it and not need it, than the reverse, and it isn't very big, and doesn't weigh that much......I do have to go through my tool collection, which is extensive, and put together my must haves.....

I installed this compressor from Harborfreight on a shelf in my batter compartment 2 years ago:
https://www.harborfreight.com/12volt...sor-69285.html

I've used it one time to inflate my DW's Aunt's lawn tractor tire while we were staying in her yard.

That looks like a nice, compact option! Thanks

Ted,
That DOES look like a nice little unit.
What's it's PSI capacity?

(I've got this AC-powered 1255 PSI slug that seems as big as a busted piano. )

I use to carry my tank compressor. Over the years I needed it a couple times. Now I carry a viair compressor it is tankless and takes up little space, actually I carry it in the toad along with a plug kit. that way it is always available for either the car or the coach. I tested filling up my 19.5 tire from zero pressure in the tire. Cant find my post about it but it took about 10 minutes to bring it up to about 100 psi. That may be slow but it is quicker than waiting on a tire service to show up
Here is the unit I bought. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There is a much better unit for rv's and I am thinking I might upgrade
This is the macdaddy unit that the large class A diesel guys use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141KJTKQ...v_ov_lig_dp_it

I found my info on using the Viair 88, I pulled the schrader valve and completely brought down to zero, put valve back in and started filling (19.5" tire) I filled it to 95 psi and it took 13 minutes.

I've carried my cheap little harbor freight pancake compressor for years. Does bike, RV, UTV, air mattress, and such over the years.

This one works fine for us, as long as you're not in a big hurry. (Needs to cool for 20 minutes after running 10). https://smile.amazon.com/Slime-40045...+tire+inflator
