Axxera radio Model AVM2207S

I recently purchased a 2022 Thor Quantum DS24 which has an Axxera radio system, Model AVM2207S
I go to settings to set the date and time and save it. When I open the driver's door and exit the vehicle and then return to the vehicle, the settings change back to 12:00 am and date 01/01/2020. I have tried at least a dozen times to enter and save the info, but it always reverts back. What are my options?

Wait a minute after powering up and the date/time will update.

Thank you for responding, but the date and time start at 12:00 am and 01/01/2020 once the vehicle is started up. The date and time do not correct to the current time and date.

If you bought your RV new, you will have a manual/operating instructions for everything in the coach... the Axxera manual will be in the Thor "black zipper bag".

If there is nothing in the manual about setting the time/date, it probably updates automagically from WWV Coordinated Universal Time radio signals. Just be patient... wait at least a half hour... but it usually only takes about 15 minutes or so.

I do have the manuel and I followed the directions. But the date and time revert back to midnight and 1/1/2020 as soon as I open the driver door to exit

Just curious... is your battery disconnect switch on or off when you open the door? If it's OFF, try turning it on then open the door... what happens?

I am not sure that has anything to do with it. It's currently on.

Mine does the same, starts at 12:11 and 01/01/2020 as soon as I start. A min later they correct by themselves.

Maybe... maybe not. It all depends on how it was wired. The clock/station presets (memory functions) SHOULD be wired to the chassis battery. The rest of the radio functions (backup camera, etc.) are usually wired to the house batteries.

My Ford F-150 truck radio will stay on when the key is off... then shuts off when the door is opened. But it doesn't loose memories... clock, presets etc.

My guess is it's wired to a "switched circuit" instead of a continuous "hot" circuit. That could cause the memories to dump, because power is COMPLETELY removed from the whole unit.

You must be under warranty... something for the dealer to address.

I found the radio reset button and cleared all the settings back to manufacturer defaults. This time when I set the date and time it worked!
