Bringing the nest home

On the final leg home with the Axis. Got into GA at an ACOE CG on Carters Lake. We were going to stop at Ridgeway, about 5 miles from Ellijay GA but the CG there is closed and the word we got is the Corp isn't going to reopen it.
From here we will stop at ACOE CG's until Monday the 24 when we cross back into FL for 3 nights at Three Rivers SP then home on Thursday the 27th.

Then back on the road again sometime in Dec. to head for AZ. That will give us a pretty good shake down towing the Grand Cherokee out and back.

Had mice problems but got that under control with traps and bait. Minor damage to the left slide motor wiring but it was an easy fix.

So far the Axis has handled well on the Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkway. Also the back roads we prefer to travel. It's size is good for small towns also.

I have a friend who had mice problems and now his wife won't go in the camper. I never had a problem but worry about getting them when the coach goes into storage. Glad to hear your trip went well otherwise.

When we bought our used Challenger up in central Illinois a few months ago it came with a couple of the little critters. They evaded a couple of my traps so I bought six more traps and was ready. I read someplace, could have been on here, that they don't like dryer sheets. I bought a box of them and put a couple in each basement storage compartment plus several inside the coach.

Set the 8 traps but never had one tripped or the food ate.......mice gone.

Thinking back on it when we dry docked our boat in the winter we would always spread dryer sheet all over the place inside. We never had any critter problems in the spring when we launched.

RODENT/BUG DETERRENT....DRYER SHEETS IN ALL DRAWERS AND STORAGE COMPARTMENTS AND CABINETS !!! FOR SOME REASON THEY WORK !
In addition...I am told raw walnuts in outer shell (also balls from gum trees)
will deter spiders.

Great to know, thanks for the info. I plan to try the dryer sheets while the coach is in storage.

Oil of Peppermint in a cotton ball is supposed to work also to keep mice out.

Last leg of our summer trip tomorrow, about 78 miles to Three Rivers SP in FL. 3 days there then on to house.
Then we starting getting ready to take the nest to AZ in December. Some where in the Mesa/Tempe area.

Maybe while it sits idle in Florida our snakes will take care of them critters for you before you head to AZ
