I did find this on the Zero G site. It says the gray garden hose is drinking water safe. Not sure if that was already said but if so I missed it. So I guess gray will do. Personally I'd rather have the 2 25' hoses so I'll see if I can find some today. Going camping in a few days. Thx, Dennis.

Amazon also has a black 25 footer with a 5/8" diameter. It is also listed as "drinking water safe"

I'll have to look closer at that zero g. Looks like it might be similar on flexibility to the polyurethane air hose I mentioned earlier.
I don't get the 5/8 requirement though.... at least for my rig that only has one shower.
my shower head is restricted to something like 1.5 to 2 GPM max. Even if someone uses a sink while someone else is showering we're only using maybe 2-4 GPM....and how often does that really happen?....and when it does ever happen it's for a few seconds at a time.....
At 2GPM the pressure drop through 25ft of 3/8 hose is what, maybe 4.5 psi?
At 4 GPM the pressure drop through 25 ft of 3/8 hose goes up substantially, but is maybe 16 psig.
but for 1/2 inch and 2GPM, it looks like 1.2 psi drop
and 1/2 hose and 4 GPM, it looks like about 4psi
I have only rarely needed to use my 2nd 25ft hose, and so I recon
3/8 inch would work and be a whole lot easier to deal with
and if I'm ever in a place with really low water pressure + a long hose run, I can always just use the onboard water pump.
or 1/2 inch hose is more than plenty

I'll go w the 5/8 just for the extra capacity and not take chances. We camp in the cold many times a year and my DW is always cleaning something. And seems to be always when I'm in the shower and we've been having 30 degree nights in WV. Trust me the ground water is cold!!! So 2 faucets run at multiple times no matter how often I scream!!!
Plus given the usually low PSI I figure it can't hurt. Nothing engineered here, just self preference. Thx Dennis.

I have had my gray zero G hose freeze a few times didn't hurt it. I have a 25ft and a 50ft works great and takes up less space than my old 25ft white camco ,2yrs now.

looking closer, that zero g reminds me of an old fabric type hose I had once that was designed to fold flat. With pressure it would expand to a round cross section. Is that how this Zero G hose is? Looking at pictures it looks like it doesn't collapse flat like that old hose did with no pressure, but it does look to kink in a similar way.
The one I had was basically allways kinked unless it was stretched out full length in a straight line. It could make maybe very gentle large radius curves, but would basically kink at any turn. Water would pass the kinks...but it was still kinked.
If that's the case maybe there's the need to stick with the larger diameter.

Mine do kink sometimes but easy to resolve. Just straighten the kinked section so it is pressurized and it takes the kink right out. We have the 1/2” and have had no problems.
