I have camped a few times in single digits over night. The water line going under my shower to the toilet would freeze at this temperature. There is a plastic cover over the shower pan that you should remove so warm air can get into that area. I have also added a few more heating pads to the elbows and black and grey tanks and also the valve box enclosure. I burst a black sewer line from the black tank to the valve box on that cold trip so i learned my lesson.

Extra heat pads is a great idea. I have not considered that.
Can they just be spliced into the factory heating pad wiring?

Yup just wire the extra pads in parallel. The heating pads for the valve box and pipes are important.

Probably not, if your coach is controlled with the BMPro system. My 2021 Axis shows 10A fused circuits protecting each of the grey and black heating pads. Since as I recall each pad draws about 5A, then with two pads on each 10A fuse, it is likely to blow.

Maybe you could up the fuse to 15A which should be safe since it is 14 gauge wire that feeds the pads.

OTOH, I doubt if you need more than 5A on each tank.

That is a good point. If we do add heat pads maybe we will run through a relay to keep the pads all tied to the BMPro. Thank you

Why would the outside shower freezing "not matter"? If it freezes won't it damage the outside plumbing fixture and water lines?

I have forgotten a few times to flush antifreeze through the outside shower and it never have me a problem when it froze.

Why? I think that the vinyl tubing to the controls as well as the tubing to the shower head is flexible enough to accommodate the expansion of freezing and apparently the valves are ok with freezing.

Some valves aren't and I have had home valves bust in freezing inside temps.

Ha HA! I'm okay without either! Used to enjoy sea oysters when we lived on Gulf Coast and found ones that were fresh.

And hey, we camped in 24-26 nights and nothing froze.
Much of our plumbing is pex. A number is pex going to re-enforced vinyl at fittings.

Don't forget to use RV vent insulators. They press up into the 14x 14 inch vents and prevent a lot of heat loss.
