Delano

I am looking to purchase a slightly used 2022 Thor Delano 24FB.
I previously owned a 2018 Isata 3 FW which we really enjoyed but it was missing a few things like the overhead bunk and counter space.
Kind of worried about buying an RV built in Covid times. Just wondering the thoughts of others who bought a Delano or Tiburon 24FB with the Murphy bed.
Also do you find the Murphy bed comfortable to sleep on and have you had any major issues with the Coach?

Thumbs up Delano or Tiburon

I just traded my 2021 Tiburon with 11,000 miles last July for a Thor Tuscany 45MX. The 24' Tiburon was a great package for the money. Pulled a 5,000# Jeep Wrangler and the little V-6 Mercedes Diesel did very well and consistently got 13mpg when towing. The Murphy Bed was very comfortable but we found the 24' a bit small on our 5-1/2 month trip around US. Only two of us, but we wanted something bigger. The only negative I notice with the Tiburon was that the suspension was kind of mushy and the unit was not nearly as stable in winds as the new 46,000# Diesel pusher. Lastly, if you pop for a Delano or Tiburon install a "Catch Can" between the PCV valve and the Turbo crankcase vent to separate liquid oil from entering the turbo. This is a cheap solution ($350) versus having the cylinder heads pulled at 60,000 miles to shell blast the intake tract clean from the oil gunk buildup. Mercedes says this required at 60K, but you can eliminate the issue with the catch can. Good luck.

Can you elaborate details of the "catch can"? Is this a part you can purchase or is it owner fabricated? I'm in.

Be happy to expand on Catch-Cans. For some reason this site keep telling me I'm not signed in and doesn't post my responses? PM at vern.shrader@gmail.com and I can e-mail you the details.
