That gun you travel with but keep locked up in a gun safe under the bed is not going to help you when the bad guy barges into your coach.

Great question. I always travel with one, period. I do check for gun laws in states I travel through and honestly I avoid those states that are simply not gun friendly. My gun is kept safe and it gives me peace of mind. Safe travels.

It is permissible in all states. The neat thing about traveling with a Missile Launcher versus a Shot gun is deterrence, but if required; no evidence is left.
Well i might as well show you what Lora got for my birthday

Can Lora get another one to sell?

26 or is it 27, States now allow Constitutional carry. It is now easier to be legal than it used to be. Utah still issues a Non-Resident permit which can be of help if you live in a State that is difficult to obtain a permit. It could be useful in States that honor Utah.

Yes the nation and people have a right to protect themselves.
We as frequent multi state off main road rv travelers must be prepared to protect our families.

Lora and I will get to the range in June so that we continue to be trained.

Good post

You’re only protecting yourselves from each other.

So? As opposed to? I don't see the point of your comment.

Do you use a Quick mount on the picnic table? Hope it doesn’t leave greasy smudges anywhere! I’d like one to shoot house sparrows in my backyard. My pellet rifle requires close aim and no wind at 50 feet. Looks like I’d have 3 chances with that thing.

Since “a firearm” used in the title is singular my answer is absolutely not.

Safe travels everyone.

So, if a state has Constitutional Carry, does that pertain to that state's residents only or anyone within that state, whether resident or visitor? Excluding those that aren't allowed to posses firearms, of course.

It depends on the law within the state.

Alaska bears 454Casull work or 12 gauge with slug. Also works well for uninvited two legged predators.

I believe the Constitution applies to everyone equally, regardless of residency. So if a state decides to follow the Constitution IRT the second amendment, it applies to all. Otherwise, it is not Constitutional Carry.

Mikmal, most states gun carry laws can found by searching something such as Kansas Concealed Carry......or which ever state.

I truly can not answer for more than a few states that I travel in. Kansas law applies to resident and non resident. State law never usurps Federal law so there are still many places off limits.....for the law abiding person.

Resource

OP, Handgunlaw.us is a good resource for you since you mentioned she wants her handgun. It can answer your questions, such as

"Is my permit valid here?

"Do I need a permit to carry in this state?"

"Do 'No Gun Signs' have the force of law?"

"Must I legally inform an officer if I'm carrying?"

And many more. Different states also have capacity laws. For example Vermont recently created a 15 round limit to handguns. Cross state lines into New Hampshire and there is no limit.

I got that one..."one is none, two is one". At least that's what they taught me...and I abide".

If I am concealed carrying nobody knows I am.
Legally obligated or not I will inform officer while both hands are on the steering wheel.
